SEM is a critical powerful tool for engagement and informing communities and others about the benefits of managing a protected area. In order to be most effective, SEM should be coupled with biophysical monitoring in order to provide a comprehensive picture of all the benefits associated with managing protected areas.
PIMPAC and its partners provide support for socio-economic monitoring, assessments and trainigs in areas or communities you work. Our ability to support activities is based on the availability of funding and readiness of communities. PIMPAC uses the SEM‐Pasifika guide to conduct its SEM trainings and assessments.
